A Few Blog "Hints"

In order for our class blog to be interesting and interactive, I am posting a few instructions on how each of you can submit content to the blog. The image at the bottom of this entry is just an example of the features I am discussing in this entry. Clicking on this entry will only open up the image file. Make sure you click on the actual links and locations as discussed in the directions below.

POSTING COMMENTS
The first sample on the image below shows how you can post comments to any blog entry. First, click on the word "COMMENTS" immediately below the blog entry on which you would like to respond. A comment window will pop up and you can write whatever you would like (please keep it clean). After you are through writing your entry, enter your word verification and click on "PUBLISH YOUR COMMENT". The purpose of the word verification is to stop spammers from posting automated entries to our blog.

SUBMITTING INDIVIDUAL ENTRIES
The second sample shows you how you can submit information you would like to have posted to the blog. At the top right corner of the blog underneath the picture of the Bruin, you will see a link to contact the webmaster (that's webeze for the blog publisher - me). Clicking on this link will open an email window and you can type whatever you would like to have posted within the email. Use this method if you want to post your own content that is unrelated to any of the blog entries. You can also just send me an email directly from your mail client (outlook, outlook express, aol, gmail, hotmail, yahoo, etc.) You might like to include "FOR BLOG" somewhere in your email so that I know that you intend for the information to be published on the blog.

SUBSCRIBING TO EMAIL UPDATES
The last sample shows you the link that you can use if you would like to subscribe to email updates from the blog. This link is found at the top of the blog, right under the blog header. If you do subscribe, you will be sent an email that contains any new posting entered after you have completed the subscription process. Please note that you will be sent a confirmation email and you must click on the link within the confirmation email to complete your subscription process. It is possible that this confirmation email could end up in your junk mail filter so look for it to arrive within a few minutes of your initial subscription request. Please bear in mind that you won't be notified via email of any changes to blog entries or any classmate web links that are added under the "Classmate's Websites/Blogs" section found on the right column of the blog so you may still want to check in to the blog occasionally.

I am now living in Scottsdale, AZ (waaahh... so sad to not be in Maui!). I am married now, and completing a PhD in clinical psychology. That is about all I can think of to report on at this time... looking forward to taking a trip soon and very much looking forward to moving once I am finished with this "project" of completing school (again).

Pamela Joyce Marie Turley

Pamela Joyce Marie Turley, 51, of Twin Falls, passed away Tuesday, April 15, 2008, at her father's home.

She was born July 14, 1956, to Woody Turley and Joyce Gambrel. She attended school at Valley and graduated from Twin Falls High School in 1974. She married Rick Mattice; they had two children, Yvette and Joseph. They were later divorced. Pam volunteered as an EMT in South Carolina and worked as a federal employee in the FBI building in Dallas, Texas. Her children and grandchildren were the major focus of her life. She enjoyed playing her guitar in church, baking, cooking, scary movies and her cat. She was a member of the Catholic Church.

She is survived by her two children, Yvette (Kurt) Stanley of Fort Worth, Texas, and Joseph (Shannon) Mattice of Dallas, Texas; five grandchildren, Alyssa, Amelia, Faith, Briana and Emma; her father, Woody Turley; brother, Eugene (Carol) Turley; and fiance, Robert Kincheloe. She was preceded in death by her mother and grandparents.

Marion (Fisher) Demer

Boise, Idaho

I'm still living in Boise and working for the State of Idaho.

Taken at San Juan Island. I was there with my daughter, Liz, last August. Such a beautiful place.

Taken in the lobby of the Idaho Hotel in Silver City over President's Day weekend. I snowshoed with a group of 12 other ladies into Silver City. 8.5 miles on snowshoes and well worth every step - once we got there. Dave, the cowboy, was the winter watchman for the town and loves it when "his girls" come to town.
