Jeris (Stonemets) Brown

Pocatello, Idaho
Family Status: Married

Children: 2
Benjamin is a handsome seventeen year old boy. He is a Junior at Highland High School. He is a good student and has picked nice friends. Ben loves the snow and is an avid snowboarder. He loves wakeboarding and skateboarding too. You could say that he just loves all boards! He loves mountain biking but he hates riding on pavement. If he is not on a steep mountain trail he thinks that it's just not any fun! He played tennis for Highland and seems to really enjoy this sport too. He is cute so he also loves the girls and has many girl friends. He is a guitar player and has been taking lessons for some years now. He is sounding really good!

Aaron is fifteen now and has just completed drivers training and has his permit. If you are in Pocatello look out! Aaron is finishing his freshman year at Highland. This year is always a struggle with so many changes. Aaron has done really well at improving his grades. He finally got his GPA up to a 3.3 so he earned a cell phone. Aaron also loves to snowboard, wakeboard, bike and just all around play. Aaron is taking piano lessons and boy does he have fast fingers. He plays beautifully with his long fingers! He is also a very handsome boy. I am not just a mom talking here. I know these boys are good looking by all of the calls they get from all the girls!

Grandchildren: 0

After Graduation I: Went to College

College:
Idaho State University

Career: I became a Registered Nurse. It has been a great career for me. I worked full-time until I had my first child. My part-time work now is just one day a week. It is a fabulous schedule. I have worked in the operating room, a doctor’s office, and almost all areas in the hospital setting. Presently I am working at the Cardiovascular Step-down unit at Portneuf Hospital. I love seeing the open heart surgery patients and am still marveled at how well they do. It is a very exciting place to work and I always loved the heart stuff!

5 Years from now...
We are wrapping up the raising of these boys. We have been taking them on some great vacations. We took them to Moab and the other parks in southern Utah, to Disney World and all of the other attractions in the Orlando area including NASA. We even got to see the space shuttle take off! This summer we are headed for Washington D.C. We are having a blast.

We all love the snow. I learned to ski my last year of college. Ron and I ski and we try to keep up with our boys. They love to go through the trees! This has been a fun activity for all of us.

I love to paint with oils and I have been doing this for about 16 years! I also love to play around on the piano. I like to bike also and I even ride an unpaved trail at times. I love to camp in my camper! Yes I am spoiled and I love it!

We live in a beautiful home with a fabulous yard all done by my talented husband. He is an engineer and works at the Idaho National Laboratory. He loves to garden. He built us a green-house that is attached to our garage. It is a wonderful room! He is a wonderful husband and father and is also good looking!

We love to travel and we see ourselves doing more of it each year along with all of the other activities that we love.

Retirement
My husband Ron is looking at retiring in the next five years or so. I will follow suit. The years are flying by so fast this will be here soon.

Other Information:
We are a Christian family. God has been so good to us. We hope you all know Him and you will be blessed too!

I have not been able to attend the reunions due to being in Oregon with family. I was able to attend our five year reunion though and I had a ball. Hope you all have a good time.

Sandra (Wasden) Criddle

Winnemucca, NV
Family Status: Married

Children: 8
I have four daughters and four sons. My oldest three (two daughters and one son) and are in stable, happy marriages. All three have graduated from college and have degrees in Art Education, Spanish Education, and Facilities Management respectively. I have one son currently in college and will be finishing his Bachelor's in two years, then on to med school. A daughter follows in this spot, but a tragic automobile accident almost two years ago took her life. She was 19 years old. I have another son ready to head to college and another one home for his last year of high school. My youngest daughter is in the 6th grade. All of my children have been active in music, sports, and church programs and have gone through many trials and triumphs in getting to this point in their lives, particularly with the loss of their sister, who had made herself such a big part of their lives and seemed to carry a party and excitement with her wherever she went. We are healing.

Grandchildren: 5
My oldest granddaughter is 8 years old and waited until last year to FINALLY get a sibling--a beautiful adopted grandson who never stops smiling. My three other grandchildren, two boys and one girl belong to my second daughter. They are full of fun and energy and keep my daughter on her toes. She watches Super Nanny quite regularly.

After Graduation I: Went to College

College:
BYU

Career: My career has been my family with a couple of turns with teaching community children's choirs as well as private vocal and piano lessons. I've returned to full time homemaking for the moment and am loving the time to provide what I truly want to provide for my family.

5 Years from now...
Still in a beautiful marriage, but with an even greater love and appreciation for my husband, children, siblings, parents and friends.

Retirement
More time with my parents, more time for fun with my dear husband, deeper relationships with my adult children and lots of love, kisses, and surprises for my grandchildren.

Other Information:

I’m currently studying to become a Certified Fraud Examiner.

5 Years from now...
I’ll probably still be working for the State (the retirement benefits are looking good). Maybe where I am - and maybe not – just never know what the future may bring.

Retirement
Retirement is about 12 years out and PERSI statements are looking pretty good for the projected benefit at that time. I just keep my fingers crossed that the folks in the Statehouse don't do something really stupid that jeopardizes my retirement between now and then. Of course, I do buy a lottery ticket upon occasion, because it could happen.

Other Information:
Life is very good. My children and grandchildren are healthy, doing great and seldom asking for money. My health is good. I’m skiing, snowshoeing, biking, hiking, camping and loving life. I have a wonderful mate who is very supportive and loving. What more could a person ask of life?

Claudia J. Brumbach

Vienna, Virginia
Family Status: Divorced

Children: 2
Carly -- 15 years old, freshman in high school. Bright kid, good grades, self-confident with quite a level head on her shoulders. Loves drama and dance, with any number of dance classes every evening -- ballet, pointe, jazz, modern, lyrical. The list goes on, as do the monthly checks. Her dream is Broadway. Yeah? Well, who am I to squelch her dream?

Charlie Dylan -- 10 years old, in 5th grade. Brighter, possibly, than his sister, but all the more annoying. Loves to push her buttons, and razzes his mom a fair amount, too. Loves all manner of strategy games, magic and card tricks. Athletic, too, so involved in sports. Especially loves soccer and hockey. Plays trombone in school band, which amazes me, because the instrument is about as big as he is.

Grandchildren: 0
I would love to have had more children, so although am in no hurry for my kids to get hitched and 'reproduce', I really look forward to being a grandmother.

After Graduation I: Went to College

College:
Lewis & Clark College (Portland)

Career: Still working for Uncle Sam -- General Services Administration, Federal Acquisition Service -- as Director of Systems Division for GSA Fleet. Lotsa words to indicate that I'm "Management" in a Dilbert sort of world. But I couldn't ask for a better office job or better "compadres". Contrary to stereotype, our Gov't office is energized, motivated, pro-active, and forward-thinking. Most days, except for the early hour and crazy commute and not seeing my kids off to school, I love going into the office. Couldn't ask for a better, more stimulating work environment. . . .well, most of the time.

5 Years from now...
If Carly does not hit it big on Broadway and send money home, I will still be working here in D.C. Must see Dylan through his academic paces. I settled down relatively late in life, so plan to work another 10 - 15 years. I'm healthy and strong, so no reason not to. 'Course, there really COULD be that aged, rich uncle out there, in whose Last Will and Testament I am abundantly compensated.

Retirement
Dear Idahoans: My dream is to buy land and retire in the mountains of Idaho, hopefully the Sawtooths. I have lived in Virginia longer than any other place in my life, but Idaho will always be my home. I want to live there again, die there, and (pardon me) have my ashes scattered there. I want my grandchildren to visit me there, run through the wildflowers and sagebrush, and wade in the icy mountain streams. It is heaven on earth.

Other Information:
Friends: High school was a tough and painful time for me. I hated it, actually. But there were bright spots, too, that remain forever etched in memory. These reunion preparations, and the web sites that Delanie has created to keep us in touch, remind me of that. It is good to see your pictures, read your stories, and catch up with your lives. Thanks, Delanie, for making that possible.

Grandchildren:

After Graduation I: Went to work

Career: I work for Glanbia foods Inc. in Twin Falls. Glanbia is a international company based in Ireland. I have been working in the same building for 30 years. I have worked under 4 different companies before Glanbia. I currently hold the position of Day shift supervisor.

5 Years from now...
I see myself working at Glanbia because I don't plan on retiring until I'm 60.

Retirement
I plan on retiring at 60 and moving to Boise, Idaho. My wife and I like to travel, so we would like to be closer to the Airport. We would also like to have a Metro bus system for when we are elderly and can't drive any longer. Hopefully I will have enough finances to travel to poor countries and do humanitarian missions.

Other Information:
I love to world travel and do humanitarian missions. I went to Bulgaria in 1999 with my pastor and some other church members. We were conducting meetings for some of the locals and helping on a clothing store that our church had set up. After our stay in Bulgaria we traveled back to Zurich, Switzerland and stayed for 3 days traveling to see some Castles, Cathedrals, and the Alps. In 2001 I went to the country of Nepal with several doctors. We were giving free medical care to the very poor. I am not a doctor, so I worked in crowd control. I got to fly around the Himalayan Mountains and seen Mt. Everest. On our return from Nepal we stopped in Thailand and on to Taiwan where we went throughout Taipei. In 2006 my wife and I went with several of our friends on a 5 day cruise to the Caribbean. In September (2008) my wife and I will be traveling to Ireland for a 7 day travel around the country. When we return we will spend 3 days in Twin Fall and then fly out to my nephews wedding in Vermont. My wife and I just celebrated our 27th Wedding anniversary. We have no grandchildren at this time.

Hope to see more of your blogs.

Rosalie (Phillips) Woods

Owyhee, Nevada
Family Status: Married

Children: 6
My adult children are all doing well. Two of my girls are working in Boise. One is a delivery nurse at St. Luke’s. One is a CNA at a nursing home and is currently attending a medical technology institute to start working on being a nurse. My third oldest is hanging out in Cascade somewhere - doing something --. God blessed my husband and I and allowed us to adopt two older girls about 6 years ago. Last year we were called and asked if we could adopt their younger sister to keep the family together. We now have three children living at home ranging from 4 to 17.

Grandchildren: 6
My grandchildren range in age from 1 to 15. They all live in Boise and are all doing great. Of course they are all beautiful - smart and all of that also.

After Graduation I: Got Married

College:
Great Basin - University of Reno

Career: I decided to become a special education teacher after my first group of girls left home. I graduated from Great Basin College with my teaching credentials and then went to UNR to acquire my Masters in Early Childhood Special Education. I work with children with disability from 3 years old to 6th grade. I work in a very small school on the Duck Valley Indian Reservation.

5 Years from now...
I will still be here - still working with children with special needs.

Retirement
I don't think I have any. I am not sure I will ever be done raising children and be at a point I want to retire. We will have to see. I will probably just stay here in Owyhee and play with our horses!!

Other Information:
In Owyhee, the school is the center of most of the activities, and since we both work at the school - we are always at the school at some type of activity. In a small town - everyone has to do everything - because there are not enough people to it all. Especially since our school is a K-12 school. We are involved from kindergarten registration -to graduation.

Although we have houses in both Elko and Owyhee, we love living in Owyhee and spend most of our time here. We love the country with the horses and the quiet life. We could do without the mosquitoes, crickets and other pests - but maybe they are why our life here is quiet - no one wants to be here! Periodically we have to take ourselves back to Elko where we enjoy sidewalks, movies, and restaurants. Since all of my grandchildren are in Boise - we are often there also. Right now it seems we spend a lot of our time - on the highway going to the girl's sports, going to visit my daughters in Boise or running to Elko to visit my husband's children.

Currently our family is attending small Southern Baptist Church here in town. Our last pastor left and with him -his wife the piano player - so I am filling in on weekends at church playing the piano.

Our life is simple and we love it!!

This summer he will be traveling through Europe and ending up in Prague doing a study abroad. He will graduate with a degree in Sociology and criminology. Career: I have worked for the school district in Ft. Collins for over 11 years-most of that time in the junior highs as registrar/counseling secretary. Two years ago, I moved to the new Ft. Collins high school in the Career and Counseling Center. Although I enjoyed working at the junior high level, I really enjoy working with high school students. I am very involved in the student's activities (prom, music festival, athletics, Scholarship Breakfast, etc.) and am the AP (Advanced Placement) coordinator for our school.

5 Years from now...
Possibly planning a second wedding and spending time with grandkids? Our family went to Costa Rica for soccer and I loved the country. I would love to return and spend an extended period of time there (maybe retire there?)

Retirement
Having a small farm/acreage with a home where all the kids and grandkids can spend time. I would like to pursue my interests in art and gardening and always be reading a book with a dog or two near by.

Other Information:
My husband Douglas and I have been married over 30 years. I took a power tools class with the Community Learning Center and loved it! Recently, I joined the group Women Build (part of Habitat for Humanity) and we will be starting to build the third Ft. Collins' home in September. I traveled to central Mexico two summers ago for an immersion program and would like to continue learning Spanish.

David L. Scott

Kaysville, Utah
Family Status: Married

Children: 5
One son and four step-children

My son, Jeff, age 22, returned a year ago from serving an LDS mission in Upstate New York. His mission changed his life and he is my hero.

My step-son Jake, age 29, is an electrical engineer and works at Hill Air Force Base here in Utah.

My next oldest step-daughter Kate, lives in Granbury, Texas. She has two children, Emilee and Talon.

Next in line is my step-daughter Megan, age 23, married with one child, Joselyn, just 15 months old.

Last but not least, Jessica, step-daughter, age 12, loves history, reading, Internet, swimming.

Grandchildren: 4
Isaiah, age three, is our pride and joy. He lived with us for over one year. He calls me Poppy and my wife Nonna. If we do not see him two to three times a week, we go through withdrawals. He is so funny, he loves to come for visits and overnighters. Joselyn is our newest granddaughter, just 15 months old. Beautiful red hair and blue eyes, she is drop dead gorgeous. We can hardly wait for her to be old enough to stay overnight with us.

Emilee and Talon are just as wonderful as they can be, we only see them once a year since Kate and her husband recently divorced.

After Graduation I: Went to work

College:
I did not attend college, I worked at my present job in Twin Falls for seven years before moving to Pocatello.

Career: I own Smart 2 Recycle, LLC. I buy empty fax, Inkjet and LaserJet cartridges.

Also sell OEM surplus products as well. I am a cartridge broker, selling empties to companies that refill them. In America we throw away in to landfills billions of dollars worth of cartridges annually.

5 Years from now...
Expanding my business in every major city in the US and possibly overseas.

Retirement
To retire with the best health possible. To go on a LDS mission with my wife. Enjoy our family, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Other Information:
My life is not complete without a wonderful loving wife who has supported and encouraged me to follow my dreams. Likewise, I believe in supporting my wife in her career as a pediatric intensive care nurse at Primary Children’s Hospital. Always talk and share your feelings with each other, never take each other for granted. We both are cancer survivors. We live each day to the fullest and we love the time we have with each other and especially with our family.

Doug Mueller

Tecumseh, Michigan
Family Status: Married

Children: 4
Daughter Alison (Boyer) lives in Chubbuck with her husband and 3 children (Braedon, Dawson and Taelor). Alison babysits up to 10 kids, so between this and the activities with her kids, her day is full.

Grandchildren: 3
Braedon (10) is the athlete, playing baseball, basketball and football. Likely going to be a big guy as his father is over 6' tall.

Dawson (8) is the 'artsy' kid who enjoys drawing and doing anything creative.

Taelor (4) is the feisty boss of the bunch. She is likely going to be girly and athletic at the same time.

After Graduation I: Went to work.

Career: Started working full time and went to CSI for a semester and decided I didn't have time for both and unfortunately, dropped out of CSI. Worked for Buttrey Foods in Twin Falls and was transferred to Boise in 1982. Wanting to get out of the grocery business, in 1984, I went to work for Robertson Supply in Boise heading up the millwork division and selling Andersen Windows. Stayed in Boise until March of 1988 and then moved to Modesto, CA and sold residential/commercial flooring products and DuPont Corian surfacing. In 1990, we were transferred to Fresno, CA. I joined Andersen Windows in 1997, covering all of northern California in a sales position and, in 2000, I was transferred to cover the Michigan/Ohio area as a district sales manager. We landed in Tecumseh, MI (just south of Ann Arbor) and as of January 2008, I've now been transferred to Minnesota where I'll be district sales manager covering most of Minnesota and parts of Iowa and Wisconsin. Our plan is to move to MN/WI area in the summer of 2008.

5 Years from now...
My hope is to stay with Andersen in upper management and settle into the Minneapolis metro area and enjoy the seasons and the culture.

Retirement
My goal was to retire at 55, but with some investments gone south and with current economic conditions, I could see delaying this until I'm 60. I'm in good health and my goal is to maintain my health well into retirement and tour the country. I've been lucking to see a lot of the USA in my work travels and vacations that Cathy and I have taken, but there is so much more to see. We take long motorcycle trips and this would be another way to see the country in our retirement.

Other Information:
I'm one of the lucky people to land good employment positions without a formal college education. Hard work, common sense and doing what is 'right' have gotten me to where I'm at. I've had the good fortune to work for some great mentors and leaders that have added to my success. My biggest regret is not going to college and getting a degree as I earned my success in a harder fashion than those who have taken the time to get a degree. Education cannot be emphasized enough.

I've been married to Cathy for 24 years and she's been the greatest partner in my life.

I miss a lot of things about the simple life I had in Twin Falls and it’s good to go back and visit my parents and brother. There is something about your 'roots' that gives you a feeling of security and comfort and visiting Twin Falls does that for me.

One more picture for fun - Taken on Mother's Day, 2008

After Graduation I: Went to College

College:
BYU
Boise State University
ITT Techinical Institute

Career: I currently work in the client services department of an advertising firm headquartered in Livonia, Michigan.

5 Years from now...
Five years in the future, I will still be plugging away at the grindstone. I hope to see the other two children married and settled down in the next five years and maybe even be graced with another grandchild or two. The two children that are currently married have already informed us that they are not likely to give us any more grandchildren so I guess we will have to start pressuring the other two. Hehehe

Retirement
I hope to retire by the age of 65 and, if this current recession and market crash doesn't mess things up for us, that should be a very realistic goal.

After retirement, Greg and I will most likely move back to the west. We would love to move back to Seattle but it just isn't affordable to purchase housing in that area. I would like to travel, often just going to see family but I would like to take an annual or semi annual trip to places I have never seen before.

Other Information:
I left Twin Falls to move to Provo, Utah only one day after I graduated in the mid-semester of our senior year. I attended BYU for one year before moving to Boise, Idaho. There, I met and married the father of my two children, born 05/1977 and 10/1978. My children are my proudest accomplishment.

In 1993, I married my current husband, who has two children. When we were married, we had 14, 15, 16, and 17 year old teenagers, three cats, two dogs, and a rat (who luckily died shortly after our wedding). If we could survive those early married years, we can survive anything!

After living in Boise, Idaho for 22 years, my husband and I moved to Seattle, Washington. We loved Seattle but after 10 years, my husband was offered a career opportunity that required us to move to Atlanta, Georgia. We have now been living in the Atlanta metro area since April of 2005.

My life is my family and what I have accomplished beyond that is meaningless to me. We have been greatly blessed with many things in life but none of it means a thing without the love and ties of family.

Nancy (Warner) Yoshimine

Chandler, Arizona
Family Status: Married

Children: 2
Keiko - 28 yrs old, not married, she was engaged once, but then called it off. That’s as close as she came to getting married. She is my busy one. She has her Masters from Arizona State in Kinesiology. She loves basketball. Right now she is teaching Science/Health in High School. But she makes most of her money in the summer and winter breaks running basketball camps. She is right now in the process of buying her first home.

Hiko is 27 next month (June/08). He lives only 10 minutes from me. He served a mission in Panama. He currently works for Walden University and is continuing his education, one or two classes at a time. He's not married.

I have friends that say not to worry that eventually my kids with get married and give me some grandkids. So far, neither is in any hurry to, even though I am more than ready for grandkids and have been for a long time.

Grandchildren: 0

After Graduation I: Went to College

College:
Utah Tech

Career: Right out of college (Dental Assisting), I got a job at Bill Workman Ford as their bookkeeper. Since then I have always had some kind of job dealing with cars. I have worked at other dealerships, and a leasing company. But for the last 21 years, I have worked at Wells Fargo, as a credit analyst. And of course, all I do all day long is approve and decline Auto loans.

5 Years from now...
My husband, Yoshi, is an electronic engineer, and recently got laid off. We decided that since we are only a couple months away from paying off our house and being out of debt, that he could retire. The only bad thing about that is I have 10-12 yrs before I can retire. Oh well.

Retirement
I want to sell our home and move somewhere by a stream, where we can just sit back and relax and fish. I would love to travel across the country seeing all the sights, but gas prices being as they are, don't know if that will ever happen.

Other Information:
Yoshi and I have been married 29 years. If possible, I am even more in love with him now than when I married him. We are both very active in our Church. We take great joy in the little things.

Both Yoshi's and my parent are deceased. It is really weird not having them around. Since my parents passed away, I don't have any relatives living in Idaho. It's been since the last reunion that I was in Twin Falls, which is sad because I love Idaho so much.

Grandchildren: 17
My oldest is nine and with 17 and 9 of them will be under 2. They are all great. So far we have 10 girls and 5 boys. It is nice after raising seven sons to have a lot of girls. Every Sunday we get together at our house and have dinner. Chad, my husband, usually cooks. I turn on the music as my granddaughters dance around the room and I applaud. I try to be involved in their lives but have started to feel overwhelmed. I am very thankful for their good parents who teach them. Last week when our last grandchild was born somehow his uncle missed the news and did not find out for four days. I felt overwhelmed with the responsibility to keep us all together and informed. A big job. We have five in the midwest. The rest are close here.

After Graduation I: Went to College

College:
BYU

Career: After having three premature children I decided to teach my children at home. It was not cool back in those days. Family hassled us along with anyone else who decided they knew what my children needed. But as they grew and people saw that they could be normal and even somewhat smart they softened. So being a mother and teacher to my nine children has been my job. We have built our own home four times and the boys learned their construction skills from that, besides we grew really close as a family. We have had some great times. We built one house right by BLM land and had a bear visit us yearly. Our closest neighbor was two miles away and we lived in this forest with a creek and a pond. It was so much fun. Now we live the city life. Hannah has kept me flying to New York seven times in the last three years. We did not travel or vacation much before her dance started taking us every where. My husband has been in the flower business for our married life. Providing for a large family has not always been easy. But we have learned to work together and that has been great for our relationships as a family. We now have a wholesale florist, and we sale to florist all over the state and we also have a retail store.

5 Years from now...
With 50 grandchildren!! Probably Chad and I will be on missions just to get away. We are hoping to sell our businesses and home and size down and become portable. So we can visit children and grandchildren and serve missions.

Retirement
Chad likes his home and traveling is not his thing. He likes to work in the yard and have his children and grandchildren around him. Chad and I like to work so retirement, I can't even think about it. It sounds so, so boring. So we will probably be doing something off the beaten path because that seems to be the one we usually travel on.

Other Information:
It has been great to read about your lives. It seems we have all been taken down different paths and adventures. You are all amazing!!! It seems like we have changed the world, just our class. I would love to someday hear the whole stories and struggles and growth that we have all gone through. Thanks Delanie and all who have put us in touch.
